I'm not sure I mentioned it before... but I have been a Video Game Geek since I can remember. From Olympic games on my old Floppy-Disk-Run computer, to my intellivision days with asteroids, and now with my Nintendo DS... I have always tried to be in the loop when it comes to gaming. Now that I am older I am finding that I don't have enough time to dedicate to gaming that I previously had. Gone are the 24 hour sessions of Starcraft with my brother and Mr. VRML himself. Gone are the days where my borther and I would drive down to Moorpark at around 12 in the morning to play Counterstrike. Gone are the days when Moonie would bring me to Joel's house so I can but some copied games Joel would sell me for $10.
With this in mind, it is time once again for the Next-gen systems to try to claim our hearts and our wallets. The scary thing is that for the first time since Nintendo and Sega were at war with each other... I am not as excited as I once was. Sure... I will be getting my Wii (The jokes have been made and are too easy so I won't even try.) but that'sretty much it. If someone buys me an Xbox or a PS3... I'll play it... but unless it drops to less than a monthly car payment I am most likely not buying one. Shocking I know. Is this me getting old? Will I start telling stories of how "In my day we ony had an A button and a B button. God help us all... Oh well I guess it was inevitable. Hey... at least I can still have have in the World.... of Warcraft.
By the way... my brother asked me to link his site. Not like anyone sees this... but if you do, check out his Toe.
